May 5th is the National Day of Awareness and Action for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit people (MMIWG2S), also known as “Red Dress Day”. This day is about building awareness, speaking out again violence, and honouring those who have been lost and their families. Click on the title to learn more.

We invite you to wear red on May 5th to raise awareness, show your support, and take action against this ongoing crisis of violence.

Public Schools of Saskatchewan will be recognizing public school student groups or classes that support citizenship or character building within their schools or community by providing annual student Citizenship Awards. Student groups or classes at elementary and high school will be recognized for their contributions.

There are three $1,000 awards for grade 1 to 8 and three $1,000 awards for grades 9 to 12. The application period has been extended to May 15, 2024. Click the title for application information and to read about last year's award winners.

Congratulations to Elora Holman, ECS's 2023-24 Valedictorian!

Elora had the highest academic achievement of the class with an average of 99.96% and will deliver the valedictory at a graduation ceremony on June 15th, 2024.
